Unbalance
Dynamic unbalance belongs to „invisible” machinery failures. It causes excessive vibration but does not cause “visible” rotors changes, does not force immediate shut-down and after machine dismantling it remains unnoticed while its unfavorable effect could be still observed. The problem is identified by spectral analysis. The excessive vibration does not automatically mean unbalance. Excessive vibration can be caused by other machinery failures too.
